Pregnancy in Motion - Short Course
The Tensegrity Training ‘Pregnancy in Motion short course allows you to enhance your knowledge and skills when working with pre and post natal clients. This course takes you to the next level, covering specific pregnancy programming and issues to give you more confidence in instructing your pre and post natal clients and providing dynamic active pelvic floor training. The course is delivered over 1/2 day and includes an extensive repertoire of exercises suitable for both pre and post natal clients and an indepth study of the anatomy of the pelvic floor and skills for teaching activation of pelvic floor muscles

Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists and Allied Health professionals who want to work more effectively with their pre and post natal clients
Prerequisites
Studies in Physiotherapy, the Allied Health Professions or Pilates Matwork

Learn to ensure pregnant women are comfortable in your classes

Learn to diagnose common post natal conditions and how to mange them

You learn how to modify exercises for varying levels and stages of pregnancy

Identify the characteristics of active dynamic pelvic floor training,

Determine suitable body positions for stationary exercises,

execute a variety of stationary pelvic floor exercises in an active dynamic manner using imagery to support pro-prioception- and effectiveness,

Execute a variety of moving pelvic floor exercises also using imagery to support proprioception and effectiveness,

Instruct both stationary and moving exercises to a client.

This 1/2 day course is practical and hands on - you get to experience the exercises and feel them in your body

You will practice teaching another person those same exercises

Learn how to identify and correct poor technique in your clients
